In a flashback, Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter have dinner at Elefante and talk about how "[they] are the best divorced couple." He tells her is just distracted as he feels lonely in his big house after Pickles left. Mr. Peanutbutter tells him he'll be fine and he questions what BoJack thinks will happen at the wedding. Everyone gets up and hugs him, to BoJack's annoyance. When Pickles tells Mr. Peanutbutter to take her to the park he agrees. Despite their rivalry, he cares a great deal about BoJack's opinion and admires him for his work on Horsin' Around. Princess Carolyn is understandably confused but says that she'll look into getting the film rights. She says it's because she auditioned for The Mummy movie for the role of the mummy with Brendan Fraserand didn't get the part. She asks if they can plan the wedding when she comes back and he sadly tells her sure they can as it sounds like a good compromise. She goes on to say that your whole life is a puzzle with pieces that don't quite fit. He is eventually forced by Wanda to answer a question wrong (when did Secretariat win the Triple Crown), which Mr. Peanutbutter laughs at him for, as BoJack at the time was filming the Secretariat movie and was playing Secretariat. Mr. Peanutbutter gets ready to talk to the reporters but he is interrupted by Joey telling him about a situation in the kitchen. Diane apologizes saying she didn't realize she was doing that. Diane and BoJack have always had a special, if also complicated, relationship, and with Diane's relationship with Mr. Peanutbutter perpetually on the fritz, season 4 might be the time they. However, to her displeasure, as she hates big gestures, he threw her a surprise birthday party. However, Mr. Peanutbutter answers the door to find Von Trapp and his followers, and they eerily state that they "know what [he] did.". Diane says she isn't happy and that helping people and making a difference with Sebastian St. Clair could give her a reason to get out of bed. Diane realizes he doesn't want her to go to Cordovia. She notices a cardboard cutout that looks like Mr. Peanutbutter behind a bookcase and discovers he wrote a memoir. The two say they love each other. Mr. Peanutbutter naively believes Todd is actually there to apply to be his personal driver and hires Todd after an impromptu interview. The wedding is then decided to be held at the restaurant BoJack owns on BoJack's suggestion so he has a better vantage to sabotage the wedding. He breaks down and BoJack walks away. He first moved to Los Angeles in the late 80s or early 90s, where he ended up co-piloting the plane that brought him to California, which happened purely because he walked into a room without looking. Mr. Peanutbutter says that he does, and Audrey splashes it on his face instead, and Mr. Peanutbutter tells Donna that he needs a new scarf. An upset Diane tells Mr. Peanutbutter she made a fool of herself in front of BoJack, and questions why he made her talk to him. She asks Mr. Peanutbutter if that makes sense and he says it does. Mr. Peanutbutter confesses that he does feel guilty but before he could say why Pickles interrupts him saying that he must feel guilty because BoJack is in rehab and he quickly agrees with her. In Ancient History, Mr. Peanutbutter visits Princess Carolyn to VIM and tells her that since season one of Philbert has wrapped, he wants to auction a greeting card, which says, "Happy Birthday Dad" with a father dog and his kidsfor a movie, Birthday Dad.
